Epoxy Flooring Services

Every epoxy flooring project starts with protecting our customers’ environment, anything that doesn’t need a coat of epoxy. If the customer has chosen to have a complete floor-to-ceiling makeover, we’ll take care of all the wall and ceiling prep, taping, texturing, masking and painting first, and then move to the floor.

Next, our team preps the floor and stem walls if desired, which includes surface prep cleaning, grinding, sanding, and patching before applying the first coat of primer. The primer coat with the surface prep creates strong adhesion between the floor / stem walls and the base coat. That’s right, we can bring the epoxy up the vertical surface of the stem walls and coat the whole thing at once.

Now we apply the epoxy base coat. This is the foundation for the underlying color that shows through the flecks, but of functional importance, this is where the bond to the primer occurs, creating the foundation for our epoxy surface.

After that bond has been established with the first base coat, we apply a second coat. This is where the build really occurs. This also provides us with the canvas to broadcast your chosen fleck color. The flecks are not only an aesthetic feature, they provide the texture necessary for safety. We have several standard options to choose from, and custom color blends are available upon request.

Finally, we apply the surface clear coat. We use a standard that fits most applications, as well as upgraded clear coats where special environments require additional protection, like heavy industrial and static free environments.
